Delo Comments on the Situation in the Ruling Coalition

Ljubljana, 15 July - The situation that arose form the process of changing the electoral legislation opened some opportunities as well as some dangers. The greatest opportunity was definitely offered to Franc Zagozen, head of the SLS+SKD Slovene People's Party. Both the members and the electorate expect from the leadership of each party to be clear in its positions and by no means afraid. Zagozen can therefore gain, the Slovene daily Delo on Saturday comments on the differences that occurred in the the ruling coalition in regards to the electoral legislation, when the SLS+SKD decided to support the proposal to begin a process by which the Constitution would be amended so as to write in it the proportional representation system with certain supplements, rather than to support the majority voting system advocated by its coalition partner, the Social Democrats (SDS).
