Review of the Slovene Economy in the Week from 8 through 14 July

Ljubljana, 16 July - Last week the government passed a joint assessment of mid-term priorities in employment, which is a series of goals to be fulfilled in employment and labour market in order to carry out the European employment strategy. The cabinet also endorsed a report on the implementation of the project of state assistance in upgrading personnel potential of companies and preventing redundant workers to become permanently unemployed. It also raised pipeline natural gas and liberalised postage for letters exceeding 250 grams. Finance Minister Zvonko Ivanusic and his associates laid out priorities of the department.
