Denationalisation: Betnava Castle Returned to the Roman-Catholic Church

Ljubljana, 20 July - After the Slovene Ministry of Culture yesterday took a decision to return a piece of cultural property to the Maribor Diocese, mixed reactions followed on Thursday. While the diocese welcomed the decision with great satisfaction, the opposition United List of Social Democrats (ZLSD) protested against it. Culture Minister Rudi Seligo denied the decision was political in nature.
