SNS Opposes Restitution of Betnava Castle to Roman Catholic Church

Ljubljana, 21 July - The opposition Slovene National Party (SNS) on Friday severely criticised the decision of the Culture Ministry to return Betnava Castle to the Church. The castle, a controversial denationalisation case, was given back to the church on Wednesday after a seven-year struggle on the part of the Church. The restitution has triggered negative responses from two opposition parties and the municipality of Maribor, where the castle is located.
