SDS to Collect Signatures for Referendum, SLS+SKD Not to Support the Move

Ljubljana, 22 July - Social Democrats' (SDS) President Janez Jansa announced during a session of the council of the SDS that in the case parliament passed a proposal to amend act 80 of the constitution, that the deputy group of the SDS would attempt to collect signatures of 30 lawmakers for a confirmation referendum which would confirm the legitimacy of the change to the constitution. However, this would hide something that was passed at a referendum in which the people declared that they want a majority electoral system, Jansa believes.
