Delo Comments on the Mideast Negotiations at Camp David

Ljubljana, 24 July - From Washington the G-8 summit in Okinawa seemed like a welcome break in the Israeli-Palestinian negotiations at Camp David. Bill Clinton postponed his journey to Japan for a day in order to attend a tense political drama just before his departure. The imminent failure of the negotiations is a good sign, a Slovene daily claims in Monday's issue, explaining that every Mideast agreement so far has been preceded by a major crisis. It is true that every major crisis has been followed by a solution, but there has been no solution without a crisis.
