Russian MPs to Visit Slovenia on Wednesday

Ljubljana, 24 July - A delegation from the Russian State Duma will arrive in Slovenia this Wednesday at the invitation of the Speaker of National Assembly Janez Podobnik. During several days' visit here Russian MPs headed by Deputy Speaker Vladimir Lukin will meet Podobnik, and the Chairman of the parliamentary International Relations Committee Jelko Kacin, as well as President Milan Kucan, Prime Minister Andrej Bajuk, Foreign Minister Lojze Peterle and Minister of Economic Relations and Development Marjan Senjur. They will participate in an international conference held at Bled on Friday on the topic "Europe at the Turn of the Millennium: Values and Conflicts". The Russian delegation will attend a traditional commemoration at Russian Chapel below Vrsic on Sunday.
