Change to Electoral System Means End to Tension, Says SLS+SKD Leader

Ljubljana, 25 July - The leader of the SLS+SKD Slovene People's Party Franc Zagozen said that Tuesday's decision of parliament to change Slovenia's electoral legislation also means an end to great tension which has dominated the Slovene political circles. "We voted for the change because we did not want to allow a continuation of the political crisis until the elections and into the next term," said Zagozen and stressed that the merged SLS+SKD party will support good government projects until the end of its term and expects the normal working of the government and parliament until the beginning of the election campaign, while new talks will follow elections.
