SKB Banka Successful in the First Six Months of 2000

Ljubljana, 27 July - The SKB banka made profit amounting to SIT 501 million (ca. 2 million euros) in the first six months of this year. This is similar to the bank's performance in the same period of 1999, and represents 75% of the forecast profit for 2000. The bank's income for the first six months of 2000 are above those of last year. The SKB has seen the greatest increases in capital investments and services, while income from interest has dropped.
