Protocol on Trans-Frontier Co-operation to Be Signed Between Slovene and Italian Cities

Gorizia, 28 July - A protocol on co-operation between the Slovene and Italian border cities of Nova Gorica and Gorizia is to be signed on Friday to upgrade what has been termed the cross-border pact two years ago. The protocol is to be signed in Gorizia by mayors of several municipalities from the region of Gorizia on both sides of the border. The document is aiming at improving cross-border co-operatin and enhance development within the EU, a European institution Slovenia is aiming to join.
