Weekly Review of Events Involving Slovenia from 22 to 28 July

Ljubljana, 29 July - After months of heated debates on electoral legislation, an improved version of proportional representation with a four-percent threshold to enter Parliament was given the green light by 70 MPs on Tuesday. Only a couple of days afterwards President Milan Kucan announced his decision that this year's general elections will be held on 15 October.
