Crowd of Several Thousand Gather to Mark Anniversary of Basovizza Executions

Trieste, 10 September - The memory to the first Slovene victims of the Fascist regime was honoured at a ceremony which took place on Sunday afternoon at the common near the village of Basovizza near the Italian city of Trieste. Seventy years ago four Slovene patriots were executed near Basovizza where a monument was later erected. Attended by several thousand people, the ceremony was organised by the board in charge of the Basovizza victims commemorations of the National Library in Trieste.
