Ljubljana, 15 September - There is no uniform opinion in the UN General Assembly and in the Security Council on whether the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (FRY) is a new country that should apply for membership in the UN, or whether it is the successor of the former Socialist Federative Republic of Yugoslavia (SFRY) that can automatically fill its empty seat, the Slovene daily Delo on Friday comments on the foreign minister's debates on the Yugoslav succession in New York.
