First Slovene Medal at Sydney Games: Rowing Pair Win Gold

Sydney, 23 September - The world champion Slovene rowing pair of Iztok Cop and Luka Spik took the gold in the men's double sculls at the Sydney Olympic Games. The favourite Slovenes finished with a time of 6:16.63, 1.35 seconds ahead of the Norwegian pair and 3.86 seconds ahead of the Italians.
