Kucan and Antonione Discuss Regional Co-operation

Ljubljana, 26 September - The President of Slovenia Milan Kucan met with the head of the provincial government of Italy's Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Roberto Antonione, who is paying a one-day working visit to Slovenia on Tuesday. Antonione briefed Kucan on an initiative given by the Italian province which would unite border regions and provinces from Italy, Slovenia, Austria anbd Croatia in regional co-operation at all levels and with participation of all segments of society. The EU would also take part in the project, Kucan's Office reported.
