Ljubljana, 9 December - Following Saturday's talks with Yugoslav Foreign Minister Goran Svilanovic, Slovene Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel highlighted that the just established diplomatic relations between the countries stem from the equality of successors to the former Yugoslavia, since diplomatic relations could only be established after Yugoslavia dropped the aim to gain the status of an exclusive successor it had pursued during the Milosevic regime.
