2000 Was a Successful Year for Slovene Steelworks

Jesenice, 20 December - The Slovene Steelworks (SZ) has posted a major achievement this year. Once a company with heavy losses, the SZ concern can now boast a profit, SZ board director Matic Tasic told the press at the end of the year Wednesday. This year SZ manufacturing companies have recorded operational profit of SIT 2.1 billion (10 million euros) and made a net profit of SIT 340 million (1.6 million euros).
