Government Passes Amendments to Infertility Treatment Act

Ljubljana, 15 March - Government on Thursday passed proposed amendments to the act on infertility treatment and artificial insemination with biomedical assistance (OBMP), which more adequately define individual stipulation of the act, said Health Minister Dusan Keber. The amendments say that the infertility treatment should be accessible to single women as well. Moreover, women who are not found to be infertile are also entitled to infertility treatment if justified reasons are given, which are reviewed by a special OBMP commission, appointed by the health minister.
