Farmers Stage Protests over Low Milk Purchase Prices for the Second Day

Ljubljana, 1 April - The trade union of Slovene farmers on Sunday continued protests following failed talks with Slovene dairies on higher purchase prices of milk. Farmers earlier in the day completely blocked the milk-collecting facility in Novo mesto, southeastern Slovenia, so that it is impossible to transport milk from that part of the country to the capital Ljubljana.
