"Major" Progress in Coalition Harmonisation on the Vatican Agreement Draft

Ljubljana, 2 April - Coalition partners on Monday continued harmonisation talks on the draft agreement between Slovenia and the Holy See, in which "major" progress was made, according to negotiators. However, the Article 1 of the Vatican agreement draft particularly continues to be the most controversial point, as it according to the United List of Social Democrats (ZLSD) as well as the Pensioners' Party (DeSUS) excludes the canon law from the Slovene constitutional order, thus giving the Roman-Catholic Church a special status.
