Slovene Veterinary Administration Responds to EU Ban of Risk Animal Materials

Ljubljana, 3 April - Slovenia has been excluding from human food specific beef organs, such as the brain and the spinal marrow, of risk animals since 1996 and of all animal categories since 2000, according to the Director of the Slovene Veterinary Administration (VURS), Zoran Kovac, who added that the use, as well as imports and exports of these organs are prohibited in Slovenia.
