The State Will Not Exert Pressure on Economy Anymore, Finance Minister Says

Portorož, 6 April - The government's priorities related to public finance are the drafting of the budgets for the period from 2002 to 2004, a tighter control of the budget, a reform of the public administration and the privatisation of state-owned companies and banks, a project to be launched through tenders by this summer, Slovene Finance Minister Anton Rop told late on Thursday evening a traditional two-day meeting of Slovene managers which began yesterday in the seaside resort of Portoroz.
