Telecommunications Act Adopted

Ljubljana, 10 April - The telecommunications bill was passed in a 41:3 vote on Tuesday. The new act will regulate, in line with EU standards, competition on the Slovene telecommunications market, which however was partly liberalised on 1 January 2001. This new piece of legislation is EU-compatible and will replace the 1997 act on telecommunications.
