Intelligence Van Confiscated by Croatia to Be Returned to Slovenia, Croatian Prime Minister Says

Otočec, 11 April - In a statement prior to a meeting with his Slovene counterpart, Croatian Prime Minister Ivica Racan told the press Wednesday that, as a gesture of good will, the Croatian government has taken this opportunity to return to Slovenia, or in his words "to give as a present", an expensive intelligence van that was confiscated by Croatian authorities in a spy scandal in January 1998. The scandal resulted in the resignation of the then Slovene Defence Minister Tit Turnsek.
