Successors to Get Basel Bank Shares in June

Ljubljana, 12 April - After the successor states to former Yugoslavia reached an agreement at talks in Brussels on the division of the assets kept at the Basel-based Bank for International Settlements (BIS), the Slovene central bank governor Mitja Gaspari said that the division of BIS shares is to be carried out at an extraordinary meeting of the bank, which is expected to take place in June. The Slovene share of the BIS assets will then become part of Slovenia's foreign exchange reserves which are managed by the Bank of Slovenia, Gaspari told Radio Slovenia on Thursday.
