IMAD Report on Macroeconomic Trends Adopted by Government

Ljubljana, 12 April - A report on macroeconomic trends and realisation of economic and structural policies, which is the outline for the 2002 and 2003 state budget preparations, was adopted by the government at Thursday's session. In order to ensure permanent stability, the public finances deficit would need to decrease, the growth of wages in the public sector brought under control and measures taken to increase the economy's ability to compete on international markets, according to the report by the Institute of Macroeconomic analyses and Development (IMAD).
