Justice Minister on Measures to Reduce Backlog of Pending Cases at Courts

Ljubljana, 18 April - Slovenia saw a reduction in court backlogs for the third year in a row, which is also a consequence of the efficiency of judges. However, the situation differs from court to court, therefore the Justice Ministry will embark on a comprehensive analysis of the situation at individual courts in an effort to further reduce the backlog of pending cases. Improved efficiency and better organisation of courts will be the two major points in doing so, said Justice Minister Ivan Bizjak at a news conference on Wednesday.
