Biggest Takeover in Slovene Banking Sector: Societe Generale Acquires Over 95% in SKB

Ljubljana, 20 April - Societe Generale's public offer to purchase shares of Slovenia's third largest bank, SKB, has succeeded as the French bank acquired over 51 percent of SKB capital as early as 23 March. Today, the day when the deadline of the public offer expires, Societe Generale has over 95 percent of SKB shares, Damjan Belic, a member of the board of Publikum, the stock-brokerage which carried out the public offer for the takeover, said.
