EU Members and Candidates Launch Regular Economic Dialogue

Malmö, 21 April - The member states of the EU and the EU candidates launched regular economic dialogue at Saturday's first meeting between finance ministers from the 15-member bloc and the 13 candidate countries, among them Slovenia. The aim of this dialogue is to ensure enlargement without any larger economic shocks. In a bid to fulfil this aim the two sides will establish mechanisms which will allow for regular checks of progress made by candidates in the economic field.
