EUR 5.73 Billion of Taxes Collected in 2000

Ljubljana, 22 April - A total of SIT 1236.8 billion of taxes (EUR 5.73 billion) were collected by Slovenia's Tax Administration (DURS) in 2000, a drop of seven percent from 1999, chiefly as a result of the value added tax which was introduced in 1999.
