Referendum Initiative on Changes to Fertility Law Filed in Parliament

Ljubljana, 24 April - A group of almost two thousand Slovene citizens filed an initiative for a referendum on the changes to the fertility law to Speaker of Parliament Borut Pahor on Tuesday. The controversial changes to the law, which allow for the artificial fertilisation of single women who are capable of conceiving without medical help, were adopted in parliament last Thursday.
