Media Bill Not Adopted Yet, But Third Reading Completed

Ljubljana, 24 April - The Parliament finished Tuesday the third reading of the media bill determining, among other things that three percent of the money collected from TV license fees are to be allocated to regional, local and student radio and television programmes. The bill also anticipates the establishment of the disputed audiovisual media fund. As some suggested solutions are not in line with Slovene legislation, the final vote on the bill has been postponed until an appropriate amendment is passed.
