Referendum Claim in Violation of Human Rights, Coalition Party Says

Ljubljana, 4 May - Following yesterday's parliamentary decision to hold a referendum on the recently adopted changes to the infertility treatment act allowing single women to have in-vitro fertilization, the coalition United List of Social Democrats (ZLSD) reiterated its belief on Friday that the referendum claim is violating the basic human rights. The referendum has been campaigned for by the opponents of the changed act, claiming that it threatens traditional family values and deprives children of the right to have a father.
