Human Smugglers Captured on Italian Border

Nova Gorica, 4 May - In a several month long operation against the net of human smugglers, Slovene police have captured eight racketeers, six Slovenes and two Ukrainians, at the Slovene border with Italy. The district court in Nova Gorica ordered seven of the smugglers to be detained pending trial, while one was allowed to wait for the trial at liberty, the Nova Gorica police reported on Friday.
