Vecer on Slovenia's Slide on Global Competition Scale

Maribor, 9 May - Slovenia has slided two spots in terms of global competition to place 36th among 49 most important world economies making over 91 percent of the world's gross domestic product. For those optimists who are persuaded that Slovenia will enter the EU as early as tomorrow, what counts is that Slovenia managed to place itself on the global competition scale of the International Institute for Management Development (IMD) for a third consecutive year. Pessimists, on the other hand, point out to the state the country has found itself in because of embracing uncritically Europe's living and working habits, a Maribor-based daily writes on Wednesday.
