Port of Koper Handles 18 Percent More Cargo in April

Koper, 15 May - Slovenia's Port of Koper loaded and unloaded 755,079 tonnes of cargo in April, which is up 18 percent over April 2000 and 3.5 percent more than anticipated. The total amount of cargo loaded and unloaded in the first quarter of 2001 was at three million tonnes, down 12 percent over the first four months of 2000, but 3.5 percent more than anticipated. This also made up for 33.8 percent of the 2001 plan, which anticipates over nine million tonnes of cargo to be transhipped at Port of Koper.
