Banka Celje Leases Syndicated Loan at 38 Million Euros

Celje, 17 May - Banka Celje leased a fourth sindicated loan to the amount of 38 million euros with the maturity of five years and a two-year moratorium on Thursday, in order to enable long-term credits to its clients, improve finance resources and pay off past debts. The bank, which is 20-percent owned by Nova Ljubljanska banka, recorded profits of SIT 1.8 billion (8.3 million euros) in 2000, and held balance sheet assets of SIT 185.2 billion (857 million euros), up 18 percent over 1999.
