Almost Quarter of Slovenia's Population Retired

Ljubljana, 19 May - Over 100,000 Slovenes retired over the last ten years, while in March 2001 the number of retired persons amounted to 485,870, which is 3,630 more than in 2000, according to the Slovene pension insurance office. The majority of the pensioners, 285,605, have retired due to age.
