Slovene Government Appoints Organisation Committee for Bush-Putin Meeting

Ljubljana, 21 May - An organisation committee to prepare for the meeting of U.S. President George Bush and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin in Slovenia on 16 or 17 June was appointed by the Slovene government at Monday's session and is to be headed by Interior Minister Rado Bohinc. Prime Minister Janez Drnovsek expects bilateral talks with both Presidents following the meeting and that at least one President would prolong his stay for another day. The meeting will take place either in Ljubljana, Brdo pri Kranju, Strmol or Bled, according to Drnovsek. The meeting will be hosted by Slovene President Milan Kucan and Prime Minister Drnovsek.
