Delo: Former Yugoslavia Finalizes Divorce

Ljubljana, 26 May - The succession agreement drawn on Friday evening in Vienna is more like a book-keeping report on assets of a country, which has not existed for the last ten years, writes the leading Slovene daily Delo on Saturday. Still, it is the first agreement reached by former Yugoslavia's successor states, according to mediator Arthur Watts, and a historic step towards future regional co-operation, said High Representative Wolfgang Petritsch. The agreement is complicated, but simple in essence - after long and hard negotiations five states finally stepped out of former Yugoslavia's shadow, contemplates Delo's journalist.
