Weekly Review of Slovenia's Economy from 14 to 29 July

Ljubljana, 22 July - After the Slovene and Croatian governments on Thursday confirmed the agreement on the Krsko N-plant, both head negotiators signed the agreement on Friday. The agreement, setting down the ownership structure of the power station, investments, energy distribution, nuclear waste management and decommission, is expected to be signed shortly by both prime ministers, after which it is to be ratified in both parliaments. At the proposal of Economics Minister Tea Petrin, the government gave a go-ahead for the premature dismissal of Barbara Guncar, director of the Slovene Tourist Board (STO), as Petrin believes she did not comply with the Ministry's tourism strategy. Bojan Meden assumed the post of STO director on 17 July.
