Regulations on Opening Hours of Shops Annulled, as Commerce Act is Found to be Unconstitutional

Ljubljana, 24 July - The Constitutional Court has recently annulled an act on commerce, as it unanimously established that Article 17 of the act is not in line with the Constitution. This act empowers the minister in charge of trade to adopt the criteria by which shops are obliged to set the timetable of their opening hours The measure thus also annuls the regulations on the opening hours of shops.
