Europe Minister Expects Positive Report on Slovenia's Accession Progress

Ljubljana, 26 July - Slovenia expects the 2001 report on Slovenia's progress towards EU accession to be positive. Despite minor problems, we expect to see substantial progress on the internal market compared to last year's report. In privatisation, Slovenia should do much better than last year, as we can supplement the report by the end of October, when several important decision regarding the privatisation of banks will have been known, Europe Minister Igor Bavcar said in an interview for the business weekly Gospodarski vestnik.
