Government and NGOs Sign Contract to Establish Closer Co-operation

Ljubljana, 26 July - A partnership contract was signed on Thursday between the Government Office for European Affairs (SVEZ) and the Centre of Nongovernmental Organisations in a bid to finance the centre and involve NGOs in the decision-making process regarding public issues, including those related to Slovenia's aspiration to join the EU. The centre which has been set up by 27 NGOs is to operate in major areas by September, and is open also to any other NGOs.
