Slovene Press about Film Award Won by Slovene Film at Venice Festival

Ljubljana/Maribor, 10 September - Two Slovene dailies respond on Monday to one of the all-time greatest successes Slovene film has attained after the Jan Cvitkovic-directed feature film "Bread and Milk" was awarded the Golden Lion of the Future award - an award conferred for the best debut feature film - at the 2001 Venice Film Festival. The dailies are critical about a rather unfavourable climate in which Slovene filmmakers make their films.
