Slovene Currency Celebrates its First Decade of Existence

Ljubljana, 8 October - Marking the tenth anniversary of the Slovene currency, the tolar, Slovene President Milan Kucan told those gathered at Monday's ceremony that the conception of the Slovene monetary system, with an independent central bank, was one of the most successful and important macro-economic operations ever undertaken by Slovenia.
