Signatories of Ramsar Convention on Wetlands Begin Regional Conference in Bled

Bled, 14 October - The fourth European regional conference of signatories of the Ramsar convention on the protection of wetlands kicked off at the lakeside resort of Bled on Saturday. The conference, which will be officially opened on Monday and will be underway until 18 October, has been organised by the Ramsar Convention Bureau and Slovene Environment Ministry in preparation for the eighth world meeting of Ramsar signatories, scheduled for next year in Spain.
