Square in Koper Named after First Greek President

Koper, 30 October - Greek Ambassador to Slovenia Haralambos Hristopulos unveiled a plaque that names a square in the Slovene coastal city of Koper after Joannis Antonios Kapodistrias, the first Greek President betwen 1827 and 1830, whose family originated from Koper. On Hristopulos' initiative, Koper also established relations with the Greek city of Corfu that is to send a delegation on 30 November to accompany Greek Prime Minister Kostas Simitis on his visit to Slovenia, said the Ambassador.
