For the Slovene minority living in Italy, the straw that broke the camel's back are this year's census forms. The Italian authorities failed to ensure forms in Slovene, despite doing so at previous censuses. This means that Italy is reducing the level of protection offered to the Slovene minority, which in turn represents a violation of the act on the protection of the Slovene minority, the Koper-based daily Primorski dnevnik writes on Saturday.
