Slovene Minority in Italy Begins Protest Action Regarding Census Forms

The Slovene minority in Italy launched a protest action regarding the issue of Italy's census forms on Monday. The minority has composed a letter of protest addressed to Italy's President Carlo Azeglio Ciampi and produced about 4,000 copies of the letter so far. The letters are available to individuals and organisations of the minority to be sent to Rome. The minority representatives have also called on ethnic Slovenes not to return the census forms in Italian, despite risking civil disobedience.
